Choose things of value: Are you too cool?

  1. 1. Choose Things of Value: Are You Too Cool? Here is an attitude based on a “me first” value that you might recognize, along with a heavenly value to replace it with! “Me First” Value: I prefer to only be friends with those who are interested in the same things as me or who I think are smart or who have things that are cool. To me, some of my peers are boring, are not as smart as me, I made a motor! From toothpicks!! I just learned a song! How boring. are not good at playing my favorite game, and can be bothersome when they want me to do something with them that I'm not interested in. How dumb. Let's do some puzzles!
  2. 2. Heavenly value: It’s only natural to feel this way. But Jesus judges the value of others on what He has created them to be and the characteristics that He has given to them, which mean a lot more than their outward appearance or the toys and gadgets they might or might not possess. Ooooo niiiice! Each person has hidden talent and special value that makes him or her great. If you ask Jesus to see people as He does, you might be surprised to see these secret qualities that He has placed within them. And believe it or not, when you look for the potential and positive in people, you’ll be happily surprised to see that others have plenty to offer you, even things you wouldn’t have noticed first off. Bring others into your friendships, get to know others better, and you’ll be adding more color to your world. What the Bible says: God shows no partiality. Romans 2:11 ESV Contributed by R. A.
