Show your gratitude

  1. 1. Have you stopped to think about the many ways that you are blessed? Think of some of the things that make you happy in your days. Those are like little gifts that make your heart glad. Show Your Gratitude Grandma sent you girls a gift. We have many blessings to be grateful for. Thanks, Jesus! Thank You, Jesus, for a grandma who is thoughtful and kind! Let’s have a tea party! Yes, but first let’s thank Jesus. Yay, a tea set! 1 Psalm 86:5 NLT
  2. 2. Praise God, from Whom all blessings flow; Praise Him, all creatures here below; Praise Him above, ye heav’nly host; Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. —Doxology (1674), by Thomas Ken There are many wonderful Bible stories of the power of praise. King David is one example—he loved to praise and thank God for His goodness. King David wrote many songs of praise, thanking God for His loving care, mercy, and protection. “O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.”1
  3. 3. God likes to hear our praises and thanksgiving. Our praises are how we can thank God for the many good things He does for us. The Bible tells us to “give thanks for everything to God.”2 It doesn’t matter if what we thank Jesus for is big or small, when we express our happiness through our praises, we are showing our gratitude for all God has done for us. Jesus, we had a special birthday party! Thank You for the many friends we have. We’re so happy for all the gifts. Help us to be good stewards of all that we received. 2 Ephesians 5:20 NLT
  4. 4. Jesus, I’m grateful that I was able to finish this school project. Thank You for helping me focus and complete it. And the shepherd said, “Thank You, God, for helping me find my lost sheep!” Yay! Authored by Devon T. Sommers. Illustrations by Didier Martin. Colors by Alvi. Design by Stefan Merour. Take a few moments to think about some of things that have happened to you today, and look for ways to praise God for them. Thanking Jesus through our prayers makes our hearts feel glad. “Whatever is good and perfect comes down to us from God our Father” (James 1:17 NLT).
