In a general sense, ethics is the code of moral principles and values that govern the behaviors of a person or group. Ethics sets standards as to what is good or bad in conduct and decision making. Managers shall be concerned with improving the ethical climate of the company. They shall take active steps to ensure that the company stays on an ethical footing. Management methods for helping organizations be more responsible include leadership by example, code of ethics (conduct), and supporting whistle-blowers.
  2. 2. Leader by Example: Managers shall be openly and strongly committed to ethical conduct. They shall give constant leadership in renewing the ethical values of the organization. Regardless of the size of the company, managers shall set the tone of the organization by the example of their behavior. Code of Ethics: A code of ethics is a formal statement of the company’s values concerning ethics and social issues; it communicates to employees what the company stands for. Code of ethics states the values or behaviors that are expected and those that will not be tolerated, backed up by management’s action. Without management support, there is little insurance that the code will be followed. Group of Companies www.ikkgroup.com UNITECH www.unitech-ikk.com
