  19. 19. Sixteenth SDC: Strengths  Timely organizing of SDPI's flagship event AND in-time publishing / launch of the SDC Anthology  Fundraising target accomplished.  Sizeable number of audience participated.  Students' participation (Number: 200)  Networking with policy makers, researchers, donors, etc.  Networking with the Presidency.  Excellent team work and support from all units.  Donor suggested panels carried SDPI & Donor’s joint agenda and representation.  Engaging media personnel for exclusive SDC sessions.
  20. 20. Sixteenth SDC: Weaknesses  Organizing of events closer to the SDC that exhausts the SDPI staff  Overcrowding during lunch/tea time  Number of concurrent panels, i.e. 4  Last minute finalisation of panels.  Invitation to speakers from India and Bangladesh near the SDC (entailing Mo Int procedures)  Panel organizers holding more than two panels
  21. 21. Sixteenth SDC: Lessons Learnt  Policy required that logos of donors who contribute above a certain ceiling should be displayed on banners.  There should be a gap between mega events, a policy that was also decided upon last year as well.  Closer networking required to ensure facilitation of itineraries and room reservations for SDC guests.  Designated team of staff members to follow up with dignitaries and high profile speakers for their confirmations.  Suggestions  Panel organizers to accompany the dignitaries of their respective panels for SDTV interviews.
  22. 22. Thank you!
