Katherine's blizzard project

  1. 1. There was a blizzard in New York. There was a train called the El Train.Lots of people got stuck.
  2. 2. Blizzards blizzardsare super coolbecause they drop a lot of snow.blizzards blizzardsI love blizzards!.
  3. 3. Winter stormsderive their energy from the clash of two air masses of differenttemperatures and moisture levels. Winter storms usually form whenan air mass of cold, dry, Canadian air moves south and interactswith a warm, moist air mass moving north from the Gulf of Mexico. The point where these two air masses meet is called a front. Ifcold air advances and pushes away the warm air, it forms a coldfront. When warm air advances, it rides up over the denser, coldair mass to form a warm front. If neither air mass advances, itforms a stationary front. If you live an area thats prone to winter storms, then snow plowscan help save you time. 5. 5. Blizzards are the most dangerous condition. If it is ablizzard the temperature needs to be 35 degrees. Pipes can evenfreeze in a Blizzard. Blizzards can be really strong because of thewind. Blizzards can knock down poles and power lines and sings.Blizzards can knock down trees even if they have strong roots. Ata ranch or a farm if you grow crops they won’t grow because ofthe snow it’s like if the farm or the ranch was closed. This is howa blizzard forms there’s need to be cold air it also needs to bemoisture and it becomes a blizzard.
