  3. 3. Agriculture <ul><li>Agriculture is the business of growing crops and raising animals. </li></ul><ul><li>Because of the warm weather in the Southeast farmers are able to grow many crops and make a profit. </li></ul><ul><li>3. The Southeast has a relatively long growing season. </li></ul>
  4. 4. Growing Season <ul><li>Some crops, such as oranges, need warm temperatures all year to grow. </li></ul><ul><li>Farmers must pay attention to the growing season in the climate they live in. </li></ul><ul><li>A growing season is the number of days in a year when the weather is warm enough for crops to grow. </li></ul>
