  • There are 5 now. And the slide that shows the information saying there are only 4 is a little hard to read. I like how you set your presentation up though. Smith <ul><li>On April 4, 2003 in Baghdad some Iraqis had taken position in a tower overlooking a courtyard </li></ul><ul><li>The Iraqis had Americans in the courtyard under intense crossfire. </li></ul><ul><li>Smith took command of the M113 and ordered a driver to position it so that he could attack both the tower and the trenches. He manned the M113's machine gun, going through three boxes of ammunition </li></ul><ul><li>He maintained his exposed position in order to engage the attacking enemy force. </li></ul><ul><li>During this action, he was mortally wounded but helped defeat the enemy attack which resulted in the deaths of many enemy soldiers while allowing the safe withdrawal of numerous wounded soldiers. </li></ul>

Dunham <ul><li>Corporal Dunham was leading a Marine patrol near Husaybah, Iraq </li></ul><ul><li>His patrol intercepted a number of cars spotted near the scene of the attack an individual in one of the vehicles attacked him. </li></ul><ul><li>During the fighting, the man dropped a live Mills bomb hand grenade. </li></ul><ul><li>To save the rest of his men, he threw himself on the grenade, attempting to use his helmet to shield himself and others from the explosion. </li></ul>

Murphy <ul><li>In a June 2005 campaign known as Operation Red Wing in Kunar Province </li></ul><ul><li>Murphy repeatedly attempted to call for assistance for his wounded soldiers. </li></ul><ul><li>Realizing the impossibility of communicating in the extreme terrain, and in the face of almost certain death, went into open terrain to gain a better position to transmit a call deprived of cover, exposing himself to direct enemy fire. </li></ul><ul><li>Finally achieving contact with his headquarters, he maintained his exposed position while he provided his location and requested immediate support. </li></ul><ul><li>In his final act of bravery, he continued to engage the enemy until he was mortally wounded </li></ul>

Monsoor <ul><li>While protecting his SEAL comrades, a grenade was thrown and hit him in the chest and fell to the floor </li></ul><ul><li>He immediately covered the grenade with his body, saving the lives of his three comrades. </li></ul><ul><li>He was critically wounded and the two SEAL’s next to him were injured but lived </li></ul>
