  4. 4. DEFINITION OF ACTIVITIES/SECTOR PRIMARY SECTOR -This is a business activity that obtain raw material from nature e.g. from earth or sea through collection, cultivation or extraction westraad et al.2008
  5. 5. Secondary sector IN THIS SECTOR THE MANUFACTURING ASWELL AS THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE RAW MATERIAL IS TAKING PLACE TO PRODUCE A FINISHED PRODUCT.
  6. 6. TERTIARY SECTOR THE TERTIARY SECTOR IS CONCERNED WITH MAKING THE PRODUCT AND SERVICE AVAILABLE TO THE CONSUMERS AT THE RIGHT TIME. E.G. RETAILER

EXPERIENTIAL ACTIVITY .During the month OF April learners will be required to make a guava juice using the guavas from the tree inside the school yard. .EACH GROUP WILL HAVE TO PERFORM THE ACTIVIVITY OF A PARTICULAR SECTOR E.G : GROUP 1 WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR BRINGING THE GUAVAS FOR THE PRODUCTION GROUP 2 WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PEELING THE GUAVAS AND PROCESSING THEM INTO A JUICE GROUP 3 WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SELLING THE JUICE TO OTHER STUDENTS.

AN EDUCATIONAL TOUR TO A LOCAL MINE FIELD .  LEARNERS WILL GAIN KNOWLEDGE BY VISITING THE LOCAL MINE TO SEE HOW THE PLATINUM IS TRANSFORMED INTO THE FINAL PRODUCT.  THEY WILL HAVE TO IDENTIFY THE RAW MATERIALS USED DURING THE PRODUCTION PROCESS  THEY WILL HAVE TO IDENTIFY AND EXPLAIN HOW THE PLATINUM GET TO REACH THE FINAL SECTOR WHICH IS TERTIARY .
  22. 22. ACTIVITY  LEARNERS ARE REQIURED TO WRITE A REPORT ON WHAT THEY HAVE OBSERVED DURING THE EXCURTION AT THE MINE.  LEARNERS WILL BE REQUIRED TO TAKE PHOTOS OF EVERYTHING HAPPENING DURING THE PRODUCTION PROCESS.THIS WILL ALSO HELP THEM TO IDENTIFY DIFFERENT PEOPLE ENVOLVED DURING THE PRODUCTION E.G OPERATORS,MANAGEMENT ETC
