Bingo, baseball caps and bonding at Soldiers’ Home in Chelsea, MA
Danvers, MA – July 26, 2013 ─ Bingo, a common pastime among residents of the state-run Soldiers’
Home in Chelsea, brought Mortgage Network, Inc. representatives together with local veterans to
mingle, share stories and learn more about one another.
On June 25th, Rick Bettencourt, Meredith Tyack and former U.S. Army veteran Tom Cannon
represented Mortgage Network at its sponsored bingo afternoon for the 165 residents of the Soldiers’
In addition to handing out desired baseball caps, providing a cash prize and meal, Mortgage
Network representatives enjoyed some lunch with the veterans and even participated in some
bingo games. More importantly, they showed their gratitude for the service made by each local
“Each one of our veterans has sacrificed so much for our country, so it was important for us to show
our appreciation by giving something back,” said Mr. Bettencourt. “We had a great time and look
