Home Improvement Day at Northeast ARC

  1. 1. MORTGAGE NETWORK, INC. HOSTS HOME IMPROVEMENT DAY WITH NORTHEAST ARC Teaming Up to Transform the Exterior of Residential Home for the Developmentally Disabled Danvers, MA – October 29, 2013 ─ Mortgage Lender and law firm team up trading their suits for sneakers and jeans to do work landscaping and building much needed storage for the Northeast Arc, a non-profit that provides housing assistance for the intellectually and developmentally disabled. Last Thursday, October 24th, nine people from Mortgage Network, Inc. and two attorneys from Dalton & Finegold, LLP participated in a home improvement day project for the Northeast Arc. “Everyone played their role well, from getting our hands dirty in the landscaping and gardening, to cleaning up the garage, building shelves and putting shutters on the front of the house. I hope the individuals that live there were very happy when they arrived home later that day”, said James Delaney, Senior Loan Officer of Mortgage Network, Inc. The Northeast Arc home that Mortgage Network, Inc. spent the day at had a large yard that was in need of some sprucing up but it was also evident that the one thing the home was not lacking was personality and spirit. The exterior of the home was decorated with fake cobwebs and skeletons for the upcoming holiday, while the interior walls displayed lovely pictures of the individuals who reside there and beautiful artwork residents created. Chair of the Housing Committee at the Northeast Arc, active volunteer and Sales Manager for Mortgage Network Inc., John Holian commented on the day, “We were able to provide needed work that the Arc, with their limited resources, may not have been able to do.” About the Northeast Arc Headquartered in Danvers, MA, the Northeast Arc provides services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and assists them in becoming full participants in the community.
