They can also save lives. By scientists selecting the traits the donor needs into the baby and when the baby is born it will donate the things it has been made. </li></ul>

Scientists can offer a service where they will remove the risk of miscarriage by picking out the imperfect embryos. This offers hope to thousand of women that have suffered miscarriage and for older women that are most likely for it to happen to. </li></ul>
  9. 9. <ul><li>Disease-free designer babies with DNA from three parents. It is disease-free because defective DNA is replaced with DNA of another woman's giving it two mothers and a father. Scientists say this method can free children from blindness, diabetes and heart problems. </li></ul>

For example SCOTS mothers are to be given the chance to 'engineer' their pregnancy to make sure their babies are born free of disease or disability. </li></ul>
