FIFA 2010

 1. 1. Done By: Marrwah Elhakeem 7D
2. 2. Introduction…
The FIFA World Cup was held in South Africa 2010. The event was amazing and entertaining, and it brought a lot of people together. The organization of the cup was nice and it was very thought through. The FIFA world cup happens once every four years in different countries. It is a chance for teams to battle each other seriously and for a great title down in history. People do not know how football got this far, and how it became very important, part of our lives, in a major way.
3. 3. The winners, runner-ups, and the final score…
The winners of the 2010 FIFA world cup was Spain! (yeah!) the score was 1-0 …
The runner-ups for the cup was Netherlands
Third place was Germany
Fourth place was Uruguay
4. 4. What was the scoring sequence?
Fernando Torres, the underachieving forward who came on for a tired David Villa at the start of the second extra period, started the winning scoring sequence.
He sent a pass from the left flank (the right or left side of a body of people) to the middle to Cesc Fabregas. Fabregas then found Iniesta on the right side and the Spanish midfielder, sent a six-yard shot that goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg got a hand on, but could not stop it from going into the far left post. It was Iniesta's second goal of the tournament!
The defense could have been around the area where Iniesta, who had control of the ball, was, or at least helped the goal keeper protect the goal, and prevent the Spanish scoring. So basically, the defense could have helped protect the goal more effectively!
5. 5. What individual skills have been used by the attacking team?
The first Spanish player passed to his teammate, who then passed it to his other teammate, the ball got intercepted, but it still reached the Spaniard. He then kicks it with the outside of his right foot and then passes with the inside of his right foot to his teammate, BUT a Netherlands player got hold of the ball… And then a Spaniard steals the ball of him and passes again, and his teammate Iniesta, SCORED!
6. 6. Movement “off the ball” by other attackers to draw defenders away from the goal scorer…
The midfielders and attackers of the Spanish team were moving forward, calling to their players. They passed, passed, and also marked players, trying to intercept the ball when possible…
Netherland’s players were closing in on the Spanish players, trying to get the ball, but failing…
The effect of this was the Spanish scoring!
