  2. 2. History of Dublin, OH <ul><li>Dublin was founded in 1810 but America did not even own the land at the time. The land was bought in 1803, but the Sells family (A.K.A. Sells Mill) bought it and formed a little town with an Irish background. </li></ul>

People of Dublin, OH <ul><li>The people of Dublin are: </li></ul><ul><li>White Non-Hispanic (88.9%) </li></ul><ul><li>Japanese (2.5%) </li></ul><ul><li>Asian Indian (2.1%) </li></ul><ul><li>Black (1.7%) </li></ul><ul><li>Chinese (1.6%) </li></ul><ul><li>Hispanic (1.0%) </li></ul><ul><li>Two or more races (0.9%) </li></ul><ul><li>Korean (0.5%) </li></ul>
  4. 4. Features of Dublin, OH <ul><li>Dublin is about 24.55 square miles in area and has many theaters and a recreation center. Dublin also has many parks and bike paths throughout the community. </li></ul>
  5. 5. Popular Places in Dublin, OH <ul><li>By far the most popular place to be during mid-late spring, summer, and early fall is the pool. The reason that this is so is that central Ohio is in the middle of the jet stream if not above, so the weather is completely unpredictable. One day it was 40 degrees, then 3 days later it was 102 degrees. The Muirfield golf tournament is a very popular place too. </li></ul>
  6. 6. Growth in Dublin, OH <ul><li>In the 1990’s Dublin had 16,000 people but by 2000 the population had doubled to 31,900 people! In 2009, the population went farther to 40,084. Dublin is one of the fastest growing communities in Central Ohio. By gaining 1,000 people a year means there were 1,500 people per sq. mi. </li></ul>
