Introduction

Founded in 2006, Ironshore, Inc., is a Bermudabased company that issues insurance to
businesses and commercial companies. As chief
operating officer of Ironshore, Inc., Mitchell "Mitch"
Blaser deals with property and casualty insurance
claims. Mitch Blaser leads the company's
information technology, internal audit, and risk
management activities. The company offers its
products to either a United States audience or
international businesses. Within the U.S. facet,
Ironshore offers numerous insurance options, one
of which involves environmental insurance.

About Environmental Insurance

Companies can opt for environmental insurance,
which will help them deal with financial losses due to
environmental incidents and other liabilities. Some of
the policies offered under the environmental umbrella
include the Contractors Environmental Legal Liability
(CELL) and the Site Pollution Incident Legal Liability
Select (SPILLS). The CELL pertains to pollution
incidents due to contractor and consultant error. The
limits of this plan range up to $30 million and may
include pollution due to mold or transported cargo.
The SPILLS coverage provides coverage on a claimby-claim basis. As with the CELL, the SPILLS limits
range up to $30 million and offer reimbursement for
business interruption and third-party bodily injury and
property damage.
