OVERVIEW
The Nano SOM from Mistral is a small form factor System on Module providing very
highprocessingpower.TheSOMisbuiltaroundthepowerful800MHzi.MX6Quad/Dual
Core,ARMCortexA9SoCfromFreescalewithamaximumclockfrequencyof1.2GHz.
Based on a complete “System on Module” architecture, the Nano SOM consists of SoC,
PMIC, eMMC, LPDDR2 memory and wireless connectivity. All the other interfaces are
terminatedtoexpansionconnectors..
The Nano SOM Board is designed using a micro-BGA (0.4mm Pitch 12mm x 12mm)
i.MX6 Quad/Dual SoC with PoP (Package on Package) memory assembly to ensure a
compact package. With a PCB size of just 44 mm x 26 mm, this is one of the smallest
SOMsavailableinthemarketcurrently.
Given its small form factor, the Nano SOM is ideal for designing products like biometric devices, drones, wearable computers, medical
electronicdevices,security/personalcamerasandothersmartgadgetsrequiringsmallpackageandhighprocessingpower.

Based on a complete “System on Module” architecture, the Nano SOM consists of SoC, PMIC, eMMC, LPDDR2 memory and wireless connectivity. All the other interfaces are terminatedtoexpansionconnectors.. The Nano SOM Board is designed using a micro-BGA (0.4mm Pitch 12mm x 12mm) i.MX6 Quad/Dual SoC with PoP (Package on Package) memory assembly to ensure a compact package. With a PCB size of just 44 mm x 26 mm, this is one of the smallest SOMsavailableinthemarketcurrently. Given its small form factor, the Nano SOM is ideal for designing products like biometric devices, drones, wearable computers, medical electronicdevices,security/personalcamerasandothersmartgadgetsrequiringsmallpackageandhighprocessingpower.
