Simple Present Tense.

Simple Future Tense.

Present Continuous Tense.

I am playing cricket.
They are taking notes.

Past Continuous Tense.

I was playing cricket.
They were swimming in pool.

Future Continuous Tense.

She will be coming tomorrow.

  2. 2. Short forms used in patterns : 1        S = Subject V = Verb O = Object To be = the forms of to be. have/has = forms of have. had = Past tense form of have. shall/will = for Future tense.
  3. 3. Short forms for Verb forms : 1. 2. 3. 4. V = Present tense form of Verb. V+ed = Past tense form of Verb. V+en = Past participle form of Verb. V+ing = Present participle form. These forms can be remembered by the number of their forms. E.g. 1st form, 2nd form, 3rd form and 4th form of Verb respectively.
