An Invitation to Support
The Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario (IBAO) invites you to take on a leadership role
as a supporter of the 11th Annual YBC Conference.
Every year, IBAO invites young brokers from across Ontario to join us for the Annual YBC
Conference. Our action-packed program will assist young brokers to excel professionally in
2015 and beyond.
The sponsorship opportunities outlined here will work to build visibility for your brand within
the broker community. These opportunities are designed to add value to your marketing
initiatives. Leverage your brand as a collaborative partner of the IBAO and a staunch support
of Ontario Brokers.
11th Annual YBC Conference
This conference is the young broker event of the year, offering young brokers an opportunity
to meet and socialize with peers, dialogue with industry leaders, attend valuable education
sessions, and contemplate new industry ideas and solutions. Young brokers are under 40
and working for a member office.
Young Brokers Council
The Young Brokers Council is a non-profit organization, created to provide an avenue of
expression for the energy and ideas of young leaders of IBAO membership. The council
seeks to inspire and enhance leadership qualities in its members, and encourages any IBAO
member under the age of 40 or with less than five years industry experience to join and
participate.

INITIATIVES
2
IBAO Young Broker’s Council members participate in numerous initiatives in and around
their respective communities.
Career Fairs
IBAO supports and encourages their Young Brokers to go to career fairs at their local
community colleges. Their efforts at these events help recruit fresh talent into the industry.
Ontario Students Against Impaired Driving (OSAID)
OSAID is an organization run purely by highschool volunteers. The relationship between
IBAO and OSAID is a strong one, and we count on our young brokers to further develop the
efforts made by OSAID to end impaired driving.
Political Action
IBAO is the advocate for insurance brokers in Ontario, and we often call on our young brokers
to help us get our key messages across. Young brokers can be found at both our Queen’s
Park Awareness Day, and IBAC’s Hill Day in Ottawa. We trust our young brokers to represent
us well.
Technology Advocates
Being a part of YBC requires strong displays of leadership in many capacities. One area
we ask them to demonstrate leadership is within their own brokerages, helping facilitate
the adoption of technological advances, and guide their peers through the transition. IBAO
works hard to provide brokers with tools to maximize efficiencies, and we ask our young
brokers to lead the way.
