MHS AlumniGroup event presentation

 1. 1. Sponsorship Event Package
 2. 2. The Class of 2001 has always been recognized as pioneers of the new millennium and a class that truly represents change. In staying with the tradition of change and evolution, we feel it is necessary to amend certain functions and traditions of the Milton Hershey School (MHS) Homecoming weekend festivities but can only do so with your participation. Homecoming is one of the most significant times of year for the Milton Hershey family. It serves as a time for the alumni to reunite with friends, class mates, sisters, brothers, favorite professors and staff; that have been woven into the fabric of priceless memories and experiences from their childhood. We need you to help make our proposed changes a success and liven up our traditional homecoming and will provide alumni a weekend of bonding events that they will be able to enjoy with their extended Milton Hershey family. Below is a tentative Homecoming Events Agenda that we would like you to consider participating in at “Breaking New Ground” Homecoming Weekend 2011.
 3. 3.

Concept

To open up the “Breaking New Ground” weekend, Alumni are invited to come out for a night of revelry and bowling fun.

This exclusive MHS alumni event, will take over the 24+ modern lanes, allowing for old housemates / classmates to create teams and compete in friendly competition

Lounge and Snack Bar where you can enjoy your favorite beverages and food along with your classmates, all under the backdrop of a DJ spinning the latest hits!

The gaming will be equipped with the highest technology and equipment for the ultimate gaming experience .

 5. 5.

Carnival Games Tent

As an event that is open to all ages with great wholesome fun for the alumni and their entire families. 21. 22.

“ MHS has positioned me to be what I have always wanted to be, a good husband, a good father, a good provider and a good role model. MHS positioned me for college which exposed me to diverse people and diverse experiences. MHS taught me the value of hard work, preparation and true friendships.”-Roger C. Smith ‘85, M.L.L.S., (Senior Division Student Programs Team Leader, Milton Hershey School – HLSDV)

“ I attended MHS for 6 years. It was one of the best things my Mother could have ever done for me. The school changed my life. I was blessed enough to be taken out of a negative environment and shown what positivity could do for ones self esteem. I found myself while attending the "Milt". When I began at the school I was a shy and timid young girl. While there I flourished and found my voice. (Anyone that graduated with me can attest to this!) I have my extended MHS family that I don't know what I would have done at times without them. To this day my closes relationships are with people I meet while attending the Milt. There is an unspoken bond amongst students. We became family. The Haussmann's were my houseparent's and I'm proud to say they both still hold a special place in my heart. I don't know where I would have been with out their love, encouragement and guidance. Leah and Walt Haussmann made my high school years incredible and I'm truly grateful for them and everyone else that I had the pleasure of growing up with.” -Courtney Wolpert ‘01, (Internet Sales Manager, Don Gasgarth's Charlotte County Ford)

 22. 23.

MHS gave me the social and financial means to travel and work in Hawaii. I am now working full-time on CBS hit series Hawaii Five-O, and simultaneously running a successful business. Chris Day ‘03 (Entrepreneur, Actor (CBS TV network Hawaii Five-O))

“ I've found my MHS experience to be invaluable and priceless. Finding most useful, the experience of being supported in an independent environment that reinforces self-discipline, growth oriented career and life paths as well as, the ability to relate to people from any and every walk of life”. -Jowharah Haddad-Jones ‘99, (Actress, Model & Teacher)

My Milton Hershey school experience has led me to believe the entire world is at my will and I can do what I want within it. Allen Bradford ’01 (Salisbury Behavioral Health -Program Director)

MHS helped me formulate the values and life skills necessary to pursue my goals and excel in any realm. Without the opportunity given & MHS experience; I would have not had all the tools necessary to accomplish my aspirations and dreams. Most importantly I learned to be self dependent, the value of hard work, resourcefulness, & the importance of service during my years at MHS. In summation, MHS provided the foundation for me to build on and progress towards the man I hope to become. Frank Anthony ‘02(Lord Abbett - Senior Regional Consultant)
