Four Things to Keep in Mind When Making New Year’s Resolutions

  1. 1. Four Things to Keep in Mind when Making New Year’s Resolutions
  2. 2. Motivation
  3. 3. Motivation I understand that you are excited about the new goal that you just set, but will you be just as excited 4 months from now? 6 months? When you aren’t getting the results you hope for in the time you expected it? Remember this moment, when you made the declaration of what you want to do going forward, and have the same vigor and determination to see it through as you had when you originally made it.
  4. 4. There will likely be Setbacks
  5. 5. There will likely be Setbacks Very few times does something go exactly as we planned. When times get tough and the road seems long, have the perseverance and motivation to push through and continue with your journey.
  6. 6. Short-Term vs. Long-Term
  7. 7. Short-Term vs. Long-Term Knowing the difference will help you decide how you shape your resolution(s). If it is a shortterm goal, the resolution would likely involve accomplishing what you’re setting out to do quickly. If it’s a longterm goal, the resolution should include taking smaller steps toward what you want to achieve.
  8. 8. Don’t Sell Yourself Short
  9. 9. Don’t Sell Yourself Short Don't think that you can't accomplish something. This kind of thinking will throw up a seemingly insurmountable hurdle between you and your goal. In reality, we don't know what we are capable of until we are put to the test and need to rise to the occasion. You got this!
