These tools should be in every facility professionals toolkit for effective system diagnostics. Presented by John Murphy, PE, CEM and BOC Instructor, on March 20th, 2013.
BOC Tech Talks provide technical information on a variety of topics of interest to facility engineers managing commercial and institutional buildings. The content is derived from the Building Operator Certification (BOC®) program and the sessions are presented by BOC-approved instructors. Each topic provides opportunity to highlight information of interest to facility professionals.
Building Operator Certification® (BOC®) is a nationally recognized training and certification program focusing on energy efficient building operations. Investing in education of facility staff, through a program like BOC, reduces energy costs while increasing occupant comfort. BOC covers a variety of building management technologies, but the emphasis is to recognize practical, no-cost/low-cost solutions, working with existing building systems, to improve energy performance. BOC also trains O&M staff to develop a preventive maintenance program that improves the building environment and prolongs equipment life.
BOC in the Midwest is delivered by the Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance in partnership with over twenty-five stakeholders, such as utilities, state energy offices and community colleges.
