University Begins Installation of 'Blue Prints' Program Devices
The first new printing devices arrived at the Marvin
and Harlene Wool Center last week as the
implementation phase of the Blue Prints Managed
Print Services (MPS) program kicked off. The Wool
Center will serve as a pilot for the program while the
project team prepares to bring Blue Prints MPS to
all buildings across campus.
As announced in Newslink on April 2, Blue Prints
MPS will help the University manage printing costs,
including toner and other supplies. The program
also ensures a higher level of customer service,
increased document security and supports SLU's
sustainability initiatives. Support from faculty, staff
and students will ensure the success of this project
for the University.
Due to the large scope of the project,
implementation could take up to 10 months or more.
The project team plans to implement one building at
a time. Those selected for implementation will
receive an email to schedule a discussion regarding the current set­up for printing and copying in their
respective locations, as well as the most effective and efficient design going forward.
