  3. 3. In the past three years: • Switched careers • Had a baby • Moved across the country • Left my job for another • Separated from my husband • Became sober
  4. 4. I spent hours berating myself.
  5. 5. I felt stuck.
  6. 6. -Derek Siver “When deciding whether to do something, if you feel anything less than “Wow! That would be amazing! Absolutely! Hell yeah!” — then say “no.” When you say no to most things, you leave room in your life to really throw yourself completely into that rare thing that makes you say “HELL YEAH!”
  7. 7. Orient yourself towards the things that make you say fuck yes.

  9. 9. -Jerks “But just three months ago the only exercise you got was eating tacos and watching Doctor Who.”

  11. 11. I figured the more I knew about something the less scared I would be, and the better equipped I would be to make the right choice when it came to it.
  12. 12. You can’t control anyone’s actions but your own.
  13. 13. I had a month to prepare and say goodbye.
  14. 14. A few reasons why Austin was sad: • No friends • No family • No roots or favorite places to eat or go out • New parent to a 9 month old • Yoga people weren’t my yoga people
  15. 15. A few reasons why Austin was rad: • No winter • Breakfast tacos and brisket • Birkenstocks YEAR ‘ROUND • New outdoor places to explore • Yoga people became my yoga people
  16. 16. You are allowed to say no.
  17. 17. I was scared of being a single, 30-year-old mom.
  18. 18. Your friends are there for a reason. 
 Even if that reason is to eat shitty food and watch TV.
  19. 19. “I appreciate you trying to help, but I just need to vent right now. When I need help, I will tell you.”
  20. 20. I felt like I was gaslighting myself.
  21. 21. I’m not trying to stop drinking forever, I’m just trying to stop drinking today.
  22. 22. Maybe you feel like you don’t know what to do with all of your energy now, because you were so used to using it all on that one thing that you no longer have to do any more.
  23. 23. Revel in your humanity everyday, and serve up gratitude for your mind, your space and your beautiful self every chance you get. You’re amazing.
