Media Students FeedbackI received a different perspective as the audience was a youngergeneration and knew more about media conventions andcodes.FEEDBACK ON ROUGH CUT OF CIRQUE1.Our peers thought that our establishing shots were toolight and un-threatening so they suggested that we gradethe images so that they are darker and build on the ideathat the trailer is for a horror.
2.They said they thought the clown (the killer) is introducedto early on in the trailer and they think it would be better ifhe was introduced near the end to create shock, but ourbest visual shots had the clown in and we really like usingthe spinning tunnel at the beginning as we find it quitechilling so we discussed it and because of the abstract arthouse aspects we wanted we decided to keep that shot atthe beginning.
3.They said that they liked how the fast shots were edited butthey think that we should use more of a variation betweenslow and fast. Perhaps a slow cut of the hands round the doorin slow motion and then a quick shot of the clowns head closeup, this would create building tension then shock.
4.They liked the titles that had beenused but they thought we shouldexplain more of the story with them, maybe use reviews as titles oranewspapercutting with something like“mysterious deaths at local circus”
