  4. 4. Expectations <ul><li>I had low expectations of the flowers’ quality since the ad was not exciting. </li></ul><ul><li>I was shocked when I saw the beautiful display of flowers when entering the store. </li></ul>

Advertising Meets Merchandising <ul><li>Advertisements are key factors of making the public aware of a special sale. </li></ul><ul><li>Once the customer sees the advertisement, the next step to wrap up a sale is through merchandising. </li></ul><ul><li>Merchandising attracts a customer through appearance and organization of the product. </li></ul><ul><li>The two are related by the Push and Pull Strategy. </li></ul>

Advertising Meets Merchandising <ul><li>Kroger was slightly weak in the advertising aspect of this promotion. </li></ul><ul><li>Yet, the merchandising efforts were spectacular and very attractive. </li></ul><ul><li>Applying extra attention to making the advertisements more flashy would help the style of the floral department and promotional efforts to better mesh. </li></ul>

  8. 8. In Conclusion <ul><li>The Push and Pull Strategy is very important in successful business. </li></ul><ul><li>Kroger needs to better connect their advertisements with their fantastic merchandising efforts. </li></ul>
