The West India Quay car park is situated in the heart
of the city district in central London and a stone’s throw
away from Canary Wharf. The 540 space multi-storey
car park is open 24 hours and is operated as part of
a 25 year lease. VINCI Park redeveloped the existing
car park with a £500k investment using our experience
as a designer and operator of car parks we have ensured
the car park is as efficient and user friendly as possible.
The car parks purpose built Parking Shop provides a
centralised base for customer enquiries and also monitors
the 37 CCTV cameras installed as part of our security focus
plan. This works alongside regular patrols which gained the
car park the Secured Car Park Award for safer parking.
A focus of on appearance
VINCI Park focused a significant amount of the investment
in the upkeep and appearance of the car park both inside
and out. This included installing a state of the art access
management and intercom system, numerous easy to
understand signs, as well as an easily accessible Parking Shop.
Each level has been painted and colour co-ordinated to not
only give a distinct theme and feel to each level but to help
customers easily locate their car.
Supporting the local environment
At West India Quay we have created a car park operation
to support the surrounding businesses and leisure complex,
providing a pleasant and secure environment for customers
and local staff to park their car. We work with the local
shopping district, businesses and cinema complex to provide
a tailored approach to their parking needs during the year.
