It focuses on using a plate method to balance meals with low-carbohydrate vegetables, protein foods, and carbohydrates. Carbohydrates have the greatest effect on blood sugar, but vegetables lower it while protein does not raise it and can improve blood sugar when paired with carbohydrates. The approach aims to help people understand not just what to eat but why, through mindful eating techniques.
