Katy perry - E.T Poster analysis

 1. 1. The strange white distorted circles on the eye could suggest
more of UFO side. Making the picture even more abnormal. And the fact that its cat eyes makes as well more strange.
Markings on the head
to show the alien side
of Katy Perry this
Promotes her song and
Hype for the video
aswell.
Use of colour is key
in this poster it
grabs the audiences
eye with the bright
pink and purple
Against the black
Typography and white skin
Artist name stands out because of the bold and simple font used. This works well against the picture used as the background adding a contrast between the two.
Director and release date shown keeping the audience informed
2. 2. The featuring artists name is included but faint, this is done to not draw attention away from the main artist herself
The name of the song is also shown transparent this could have been done so picture speaks for it’s self and doesn’t rely on the title for the audience to establish the artist and the song
The clever use of colour, light and the typography has made this poster successful in grabbing the attention of the audience. The coloursalso relate to the artists personality as she is known for wearing bright colours as her style is placed in pop music where as this wouldn’t relate to other audiences that listen to rock or hip hop because they use more darker colours.
Special Effects on the eyes used here, this teaser poster adds hype to the video as the effects used makes the audience excited for the actual video and also because its is good quality which shows this isn’t a low budget video and has high expectations.
