[TUTORIAL] How to Use Periscope on Android

  3. Periscope allows you to broadcast LIVE video from anywhere.
  4. Until now, Periscope was only available on iOS.
  5. BOO!
  6. Finally, the day has come for Android users to join in on the fun.
  7. Here’s everything you need to know about using Periscope on Android.
  8. Download the app from Google Play1
  9. DUH!
  10. Create your Periscope account2

  12. You can also now log into Periscope with your phone number, but quite honestly, why would you want to miss out on Twitter integration?
  13. If you don’t already have a Twitter account added to this phone, you’ll be asked to add or create one now.
  14. 1 2 choose an existing account or add another one
  15. IMPORTANT: This is your only chance to pick the right username. Perfect time to claim your real name...
  16. QUICK TIP Capitalize each word in your username; it’ll make it immediately more readable and recognizable to Periscope viewers.

  29. Here’s how to change your profile info (photo, screen name, and bio):
  30. 1 2 Now you can change your: 1. photo 2. screen name 3. bio
  31. Under your profile, you can also see: your followers (and follow them back) people you are following (and unfollow them) people you’ve blocked (and unblock them) your broadcast replays (and watch them or delete them; nothing else)

  71. By the way, broadcasting in landscape mode isn’t currently supported by Periscope; it doesn’t look pretty, so don’t do it!

  76. What to do when your broadcast is over?
  77. 1. Save it to your device
  78. To save your broadcast to your device, look for ‘Save to Gallery’ option after broadcast is over
  79. You can also choose to Autosave all your broadcasts

  83. ‘Remove Replay’ - your broadcast will be listed in the Watch Tab, but won’t be playable ‘Delete Broadcast’ - your broadcast will be as good as it never happened
