The EAC and the ad hoc simulation committee willdevelopablueprintfor evaluationof the simulationlabinthe entire curriculum. 4. Facultywill pilotasurveyof medical/surgical instructorstodetermine level of studentpreparednessforclinical coursesbasedonspecificskill developmentperformedinsimulationlab. Recommendationswill be made tothe appropriate committeestodetermine an ongoingevaluationprocess. 5. The CurriculumCommittee will keep facultyapprisedof UG curricularplans and goalsat facultymeetingsandby 1. UD SON graduateswill be successful on the NCLEX-RN Examination. 1. The NCLEX task force will developand monitorprogramsand policiesthat promote NCLEXsuccess. 2. Identifyatriskstudentsinthe sophomore and junioryearandprovide a planof action. 3. Assessthe highriskstudentNCLEXreview course. 4. The School of Nursingwill offera1 credit NCLEX reviewcourse the secondsemester of the senioryear. 1. Achieve andmaintainfirsttime NCLEX pass rate at 92% or higherwithin3years.

SON Directorwill appointaCoordinatorof the PhD inNursingScience Programand will initiallyappointmemberstoserve on the PhD inNursingScience Program Committee. 2. Grad. Ed. will propose abylawschange to add a PhD inNursingScience Program Committee asa sub-committee of the Graduate EducationCommittee. 1. Appointmentswillbe completedby March, 2010. 2. UD SON will provide outstandinggraduate education. 1. Graduate EducationCommittee will criticallyreviewandrevise the current graduate course evaluationform. 2. The course evaluationformwill be distributedtofacultyteachingagraduate educationcourse eachsemester. 3. Each semesterthe completedformsand documentationfrom the previous semesterwillbe reviewedbythe Graduate EducationCommittee. 4. The data will be usedtoidentifyareasof weaknessandstrengthinthe graduate program. 5. Each concentrationprogram representative will be responsible for havingthisgoal criticallyexaminedthat will include studentinputandfor submittingawrittenreportwithrationale & recommendationstothe Graduate EducationCommittee. 6. The Graduate EducationCommittee will use the reportsreceivedtodevelop graduate program policiesas indicated. 1. The Graduate EducationCommittee will developandimplementanongoing curricularreviewprocessforevaluationof all graduate educationcourses(Core Courses,CNS,HSADand NP) in12 months. 2. The Graduate EducationCommittee and Clinical Coordinatorwill identifyissues regardingclinical preceptorsandsuggest solutionstoaddressthe issuesidentified within1 year.

The Graduate EducationCommittee will forman ad hoc sub-committee that includesinterestedfacultymembersto formulate adefinition of on-line education. 5. The definitionwillbe reviewedbythe Graduate EducationCommittee andthen presentedata facultymeetingfor discussionandapproval 6. The final approveddefinitionwill be incorporatedintothe facultyhandbook and postedonthe graduate education website. 7. All currentgraduate studentswill be informedaboutthe definitionbyemail and a letterfromthe School of Nursing Director. 1. Each program concentration(CNS, HSAD, and NP) will determinetheir(matriculated and non-matriculated) studentpopulation catchmentarea (local,regional,national, international) inthe first3months. 2. All graduate programconcentrations (CNS,HSAD,and NP) will come to consensusonthe definitionof on-line educationtobe adopted andused consistentlyinthe graduate programin the second3 months.
