  2. 10. Advantages <ul><li>Preserve alveolar ridge </li></ul><ul><li>Possibly -support -proprioreception -retention (eventually) -stress distribution </li></ul>
  3. 11. Disadvantages <ul><li>Poor oral hygiene </li></ul><ul><li>-caries and periodontal disease </li></ul><ul><li>Soft tissue undercuts -esthetics -retention </li></ul><ul><li>Breakage of denture -thin -stress concentration over abutments </li></ul>
