Mary Gregor also takes time to enjoy the nature Maine has to offer, particularly by taking walks. Find some of the best nature walks in Maine below. West Quoddy Head Coastal Trail: Leading to the most eastern point in the lower 48 states, this Quoddy Head State Park trail is an easy walk extending 1.3 miles, going through outcrops of gabbro rock and along the Bay of Fundy. Visitors may get to see humpback, finback, and minke whales in the summertime.
  3. 3. Maine – Blueberry Mountain: Located near Weld, Blueberry Mountain gets its name from the wild Maine blueberries growing on its peak. In the summer, hikers who take the leisurely journey up the trail can feast on ripened blueberries or collect them in a pail. Jordan Pond Shore Path: A 3.2-mile hike, Jordan Pond Shore Path takes trekkers in Acadia National Park along a small mountain lake surrounded by peaks and ridges wooded with pine and deciduous trees. After a peaceful walk, visitors can rest and eat at the Jordan Pond House Restaurant.
