  2. 2. Discourse analysis (DA), or discourse studies, is a general Term for a number of approaches to analyzing written, vocal, or sign language use or any significant semiotic event.
  3. 3. Data Categorization  The data taken for analysis is naturally occurring dialogue on phone.  It is between two strangers who happen to become known due to a wrong call.  Ameer calls his friend Majid and did not recognize the voice. In fact the Majid whom Ameer calls is not the one who is Ameer’s friend.  This wrong call happen to become known as Majid introduces himself to Ameer and he agrees to become his customer as Majid ahmed is a sales manager of Jazz and Ameer agrees to buy connection from him.  The phone conversation lasts for 1min 14 sec.
