4. PROBLEM 1:
WE‘RE IN THE BIGGEST
MENTAL HEALTH CRISIS
EVER
According to the WHO World
Mental Health report published
early 2022, depression and
anxiety rose 25% in the first year
of the pandemic, bringing the
total number of people living with
a mental disorder to nearly
1.000.000.000 people, also
“because of social stigma and
discrimination”.

5. PROBLEM 2: WE LACK
THE TOOLS FOR THE
COMING HUMAN
REVOLUTION AROUND
THE HEALING OF MAN
“The sixth Kondratieff is a health-
related cycle. This means that for
the first time in history, the focus of
economic and social development is
not on a machine, a chemical
process, energy or hardware
technology, but rather the human
being with his physical, mental,
psychological, social, ecological and
spiritual needs, problems and
potential. We leave the growth
patterns of previous Kondratieff
cycles behind. Now the human being
takes center stage. This is the
message of the sixth Kondratieff:
the healing of man is the best
program for the future.“Source:

6. PROBLEM 3: WE‘RE IN
A GLOBAL METACRISIS
“(The meta-crisis is) a single phenomenon.
We may be thinking of it as an ecological crisis.
We may be thinking of it as a psychological or spiritual
crisis.
We may be thinking of it as a cultural crisis and a
breakdown of community, family, etc..
We may be thinking of it as a crisis of government and
economics and finance.
And, it is all of these things. But, it’s not reducible to
any one of them. That’s why it’s a meta-crisis.”

entrepreneur)

MAPPING RESULTS

approaches-to-addressing-the-meta-crisis-

1. The Meta-Crisis is real & different solutions might work
The idea is that there is a lot of agreement within the various interrelated intellectual movements,
organizations, and people that there is this meta-crisis, but there are differences of opinion about what we
should do about it
2. Where everybody agrees: big changes are needed
There is a lot of interest in big change and a lot of agreement that our existing institutions and the socio-
cultural, political, and economic status quo is not viable in the long term
Those who would agree with this general sentiment would often have different reasons for why that would be
the case, but they all generally agree that we need to transition to a new systems state
3. Existing approaches should be mixed and freshly combined to achieve something better
Note that you can pick and choose and mix and match from among these in the map and create your own
approach based on what you think will work. We have the ability to borrow from any of these and create our
own approach, weighted more heavily to any of these as we wish.
4. Overviews and Maps are essential for better coordination and progress:
Through maps such as this, we can better recognize our shared visions and common values and we can
develop deeper interconnection and integration among our various projects, and we can come together for a
similar purpose, for co-authoring and co-creation of books, articles, blogs, videos, podcasts, educational
courses, etc
12. WE NEED A NEW
SUPERORGANISM:
NEW INSTITUTIONS,
NEW NETWORKS,
NEW EXPERTS, NEW
SCIENCE, NEW TEAMS
The existing system cannot provide the
solutions fast enough otherwise we would
not be in the metacrisis.
The good news: worldwide, 10000s of people
work already on solutions, too often
neglected, isolated, under-funded or even
marginalized.
These people, their knowledge and their
ecosystems should be at the core of the new
Project Synthesis movement, supported by
people who love to create positive change.
The Humane Future Lab is working on
creating an overview of their endeavours for
several years.
13. ASSESSMENT OF
RELATED META-LEVEL
REAL LIFE PROJECTS
MAIN ISSUES THAT
„ENSURE“
INEFFICIENCY AND
FAILURE UNTIL TODAY
- „Loner“ Pioneers: projects are „left alone“ trying to find solutions to end
the metacrisis. Researchers and founders need to do „everything
themselves“ and work for free most of the time
- Hidden Ecosystem: projects do not have a complete overview on related
activities worldwide, their status, their lessons learned, their success
factors, the people behind, etc.
- Missing Manpower: projects do not have a fixed staff and team or ways
to find co-workers
- Unfunded R&D: projects do not have sufficient funding to research,
develop, test and mainstream their output professionally
- Education Gaps: projects do not have access to relevant literature,
science papers etc.
- Siloed Thinking and Acting: in case a project received funding from a
source, it tends to remain in their silo to finalize the project
- Fear of Change: the human well-being-oriented, the interdisciplinary
and/or paradigm shifting potential of their research often makes it even
harder for them to receive funds
14. GOALS OF PROJECT
SYNTHESIS
360°support of pioneers in all
suitable niches around human
well-being to create synthesized
solutions
SOLUTION RESEARCH, EXPERT NETWORKING & PROJECT PROMOTION:
- Procative Creation of Transparency regarding Topics, Solution
Approaches & Ecosystems: overview on related activities worldwide,
status, lessons learned, success factors, people behind, etc.
- Organisation of Local & Global Events
EDUCATION:
- Library & AI: curated, well-organized and constantly updated access to
relevant literature, science papers, specialized AI tools, project
documentation etc
- Online Courses & How-To’s, also to locally implement project knowledge
RECRUITING & COORDINATION:
- Recruiting Platform: a place where current and future projects are found
and where interested people can add their fields of expertise and
interests to find new projects to join
FUNDING:
- Funding for Research & Development, Roll-Out & Mainstreaming
- Add-On Funding for Silo Breaking: in case an external project received
funding from another source, the Add-On funding allows to form a joint
project add-on to get a better result

Project Synthesis by
The HIT (Holistic Innovation &
Transformation) Bureau
A global project, platform and community to accumulate,
visualize, generate and spread knowledge to positively
transform the world for as many people as possible
We bring together diverse groups of innovators, scholars,
business leaders, technologists, scientists, inventors,
philosophers, savants, researchers, creatives, investors and
artists to accelerate positive transformation on a fast lane.
Through events, local HIT bureaus worldwide, a community
and media platform (including AI knowledge base, films,
books, podcasts etc.), an online learning platform and
partnerships, we create spaces for transformation on a
personal, societal, local, political and organizational level.
We create a comprehensive overview of all
existing research, approaches, teams, solutions,
a library and platform of the people involved
and interested in becoming involved.
We form, nourish and financially support global
volunteer expert teams to accelerate progress.
New knowledge, new business opportunities
arise daily and we can discover and leverage
untapped high potential for positive change
much more easily.

IMAGINATION
POWER
„The biggest crisis is the crisis of lack of
imagination.“
„The Imagination Sundial by Rob Shorter
is a heuristic or design tool for how we
intentionally and skillfully rebuild the
imaginative capacity of people,
organizations or nations.
Underpinning this is the belief that we are
living in a time of imaginative decline at the
very time in history when we need to be at
our most imaginative.”
Imagination capacity enhancement comes
first, then we research all potential areas for
positive change.
19. REQUIREMENT 3:
THE INNER
DEVELOPMENT GOALS
“Inner Development Goals (IDGs) is a non-profit
organization for inner development. We
research, collect and communicate science-
based skills and qualities that help us to reach
the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Background:
In 2015, the UN Sustainable Development
Goals gave us a comprehensive plan for a
sustainable world by 2030. There is a vision of
what needs to happen, but progress along this
vision has so far been disappointing. We lack
the inner capacity to deal with our increasingly
complex environment and challenges.
Fortunately, modern research shows that the
inner abilities we now all need can be
developed. This was the starting point for the
'Inner Development Goals' initiative.”

principles or goals for transformation – all “new”
ways of looking at, analyzing the world and coming
up with solutions.
It includes mental models for new ways of looking at
the world – far beyond the topics which are
supported by mainstream governments and
investors already.
This overview allows researchers to synthesize all
relevant areas, especially the high potential, high risk
ones which have been neglected by large scale
government or philantropy funding so far.
It includes Theory U, Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs,
Doughnut Economics, UN Sustainable Development
Goals, 8 Forms of Capital and many more.

The Preparation Phase of Project Synthesis took
7 years. The result is a unique collection of
10.000 expert profiles, book references and

In Phase 1 which starts now, this data is
analyzed, clustered, visualized, described and
cross-referenced to create an overview. This
makes communication easier, helps forming
global teams, formulate hypotheses, split tasks
and set product development goals.
In Phase 2, global teams start working on
scientifically or practically proving the

The World Human Forum introduced the Delphic Cube in 2022 as a new sense-making tool and „a new
interdisciplinary holistic approach and methodology based on collective intelligence”.
It “aims at triggering a different mindset” and “aspires to lead us from fragmentation to integration; to
breaking down silos; to proposing a holistic, interdisciplinary approach that continuously keeps life at heart”.
It is the outcome of a collective intelligence process, created by participants during the 3rd Delphic Meeting
of the World Human Forum, on April 2019.

2: GAME B (2020-)
Game A is everything humanity
has been doing for the past ten
thousand years. Now we are
coming up against its hard limits.
The existing order is breaking
down.
Game B is whatever is going to
come next.
“The various systems we have tried in the twentieth century are not
capable of tackling the new crises that face us.
We urgently need to evolve new solutions while keeping the best of the
old. Many possibilities are already being tried (though often without
sufficient funding and widespread support).
Concepts such as cosmo-localism, new economic zones, the
regenerative movement, charter cities and an understanding of game
theory may provide a way forward, but they need to be tried and tested.
In the Game B community, we experiment with these and more.
As yet no one really knows what will actually work, or how the next world
order will unfold. We need to try out every good idea, find which ones
actually work, and scale up. We have already begun.
Come play with us as we learn and grow wiser together. “

“There are at least three kinds of effort. All three are parallel - doing very different things but
at the same time.
• 1. Amelioration efforts - These are the things that are focused on minimizing the harm
that Game A does as it winds down. From seed banks to cleaning plastic out of the
oceans to preventing catastrophic war.
• 2. Transition efforts (Transition B) - prototyping new models, building necessary
infrastructure, taking well-considered and intentionally evolving swings at chunks of the
larger problem (e.g., decentralized education models, permaculture at different levels of
scale, much but not all of "green tech"..)
• 3. Game B Proper (Game B) - Consciously and carefully co-creating an emergent and
scalable new game”
& 4. Coordinate Better
How Would Game B beat Game A?
“The omni-win-win system actually outcompetes the win-lose system, while obsoleting win-
lose dynamics itself.” - Daniel Schmachtenberger
If we can create a social technology to hyper-coordinate with others, then Game B would be
better at innovation than Game A. Then, the only way to beat it would be to coordinate even
better, which is in and of itself a more Game B solution.
