Understand Organizations' Cloud Computing Plans

These FINDINGS are based on IDG’s 2018 CLOUD COMPUTING RESEARCH and provides an understanding of organizations cloud computing plans by outlining the solutions they are moving to the cloud, and which as-a-service models they are likely to move them to.
The study reveals that 73% of organizations have at least one application in the cloud, and another 17% plan to do so in the next 12 months.
Cloud Adoption Keeps Expanding
> 9 out of 10 companies will have some part of their
applications or infrastructure in the cloud by 2019, and the
rest expect to follow by 2021.
> Cloud technology is quickly becoming the default at companies of all sizes.
> 9 out of 10 companies have already moved at least some of their applications or computing infrastructure to the cloud or plan to do so in the next 12 months.
> IT spending reflects this trend, with the average investment
in cloud rising nearly 36% from two years ago.
In fact, 73% of respondents reported have already adopted cloud
technology or plan to do so within the next three years. And another 17% intend to do so in the next 12 months, leaving
just 10% delaying their cloud migration for 1 to 3 years.
