1. MIGUEL DE CERVANTES
Miguel de Cervantes was a writer from Spain. He was born in
Alcalá de Henares on 29th
September 1547. He died in 1616.
Miguel de Cervantes was a serious, quiet child. He left school at
the age of 16 and had various jobs, but he didn´t start writing
because he was educated to become a surgeon. Finally, he moved
around almost all of Spain and that produced intense and
colourful written texts. In 1582 Cervantes published his first
work, THE NUMANCE.
During his lifetime Cervantes wasn’t successful with his work.
And he only sold one written text. But these days he is famous
for the work which he did in Provence. Two of his best-known
works are LA NUMANCE, THE TREATMENT OF ÁRGEL and
THE GALATEA. THE NUMANCE was published in 1582.
