  3. 3. Goal The 9th edition goal is the need of revealing, sharing and engaging with universal values that will allow the construction of a prosperous, inclusive and common future. Persons concerned are walkers of the 5 paths, relevant people and young students from the five continents will set their contributions to a constructive debate in order to base this construction. The whole purpose of this discussion is conducted in collaboration with “Choice of the Future” platform, COFT, a meeting point where discussing together and express a common commitment. It is time now of choosing what we really want, but, what are our choices? MUASC - IX EDITION

People of today, who are committed to their personal and collective present, may choose to build on the basis of being more aware about wellness, unity and solidarity. This year, that we walk under the slogan “The future is Walking”, protagonists proposed are students, college and university from the five continents. MUASC - IX EDITION

Protagonists: That is the reason why we invite: Men and women, academics from the five continents, to Walk with us Universities to assist participants regarding travel arrangements and find funding to participate Companies to support and finance their trip And thus, together, will know the Galician lands, traditions, gastronomy and discovering the future projects that are underway, as well as human adventures from Galician people and companies committed to a sustainable future and, also from relevant people helping them in this path. Schedule: 11 August, 2014 Starts in the meeting point at St. James of Compostela, during the 11th and, then move to municipalities or ”concellos” for departures from each path. 12, 13 and 14 August, 2014: 3 days walking over Galician lands. Five paths, each corresponding to a continent, travelled by walkers carrying earth from their place of origin and a White Rose symbol of Unity and Universality. In the afternoons, will organize activities that will allow us to know and share local projects aimed at sustainability, ecology, social welfare, personal development, etc… MUASC - IX EDITION
  16. 16. Schedule: Arriving to St. James of Compostela on the 14th in the morning where will be held the Lands and Roses Meeting. Lunch with all participants. MUASC - IX EDITION
  17. 17. Schedule: In the afternoon / evening will celebrate the Symposium, where they will have the opportunity of committing for the construction of a model based on the values that they will have discovered and choose by themselves. Closing party MUASC - IX EDITION

Registration: Participation Fee € 200: Included: Travel from St. James of Compostela to the various points leaving on the 11th. Loading in ports centers / hostel the 11th, 12th and 13th. Loading in St. James of Compostela the 14th. Catering service: hot dinners served at the loading points, cold breakfasts and picnics for meals. From the 11th night till the breakfast the 14th, both included. Special meal at St. James of Compostela the 14th. Support vehicle for luggage, backpacks, sleeping bags, mats, etc... Entry to the symposium on the 14th afternoon / evening: "Choice of the Future". Travel insurance. T'Shirt and Rose.   22. 22. Mission and vision: MUASC: UNIVERSAL WALK TO ST. JAMES OF COMPOSTELA The UNIVERSAL WALK FOUNDATION TO ST. JAMES OF COMPOSTELA (MUASC), whose purpose is the development and promotion of the Universal Walk to St. James of Compostela, intends to become a movement being channel and support for those values that will allow mankind to move towards Unity and Universality. Cathedral of St. James will be the central and unitary point of the rose as symbol of cultures and civilizations reunion. MUASC - IX EDITION

Since its beginning we are doing Universal Walks for Peace to St. James of Compostela with the faith of those who enter on the path they do it in the recognition of diversity, and also motivated by values such as tolerance, recognition, love, dialogue, universality … values that can indeed build a solidarity mankind. We promote the walks because we have the willing of mobilizing citizens from all over the world without distinction of race, gender, ideology, physical or moral circumstances… to walk in unity for these values. With faith and certainty that: “Mankind walks together toward a new era of greater solidarity, with no real differences between the habitants from different continents. We do believe that through the mutual Universality and Recognition will get both, Peace and common wellness. A common walk in order to unify mankind in one heart, without formalities, without exclusions. It is time now for those who move “on foot”, for those anonymous and silent hearts: it is our time, and we can choose a Humanity in Peace and the Peace as the way for it. Departing the same day and arriving all together to St. James of Compostela Cathedral as unitary point of reunion for all walkers for the Peace. Universal Walks to St. James of Compostela Since 2006 to date there have been eight Universal Walks to St. James of Compostela under the theme of “Peace”. Permanent Movement Universal Walk for Peace There have also been a significant number of “Universal Walks for Peace” in several cities in other parts of the world promoted by a group of individuals who constitute what we have called “Permanent Movement”. They are local calls, unified with St. James of Compostela, and held one Sunday per month and mainly attended by citizens from this area walking in unity and in correspondence with a continent. Since October 2008 and through representatives of the Permanent Movement Universal Walk for Peace in each of the cities and, with the help of those responsible from Universal Walk Foundation to St. James of Compostela MUASC, walks have been promoted outside the St. James of Compostela region.   35. 35.  The first Universal Walk for Peace in Segovia, Spain was held in May 2012 and represented a milestone in the development of the movement. It was the first Walk held outside Galicia’s region. This year will be held the third edition on June 1, 2014.  Also in Lleida, on May 18, will be held the first Universal Walk for Peace by walking the five paths and finishing at La Seu Bella. Our website, www.muasc.es, contains information on all walks taking place, expanding monthly with new calls. To constitute this Walk as a channel and support of freedom, tolerance, harmony, dialogue values, as pillars where building, creating and expanding all individuals, peoples, cultures, civilizations, being cutting edge and paradigm of a united mankind and solidarity. 5. Deep respect for all spiritual, cultural and artistic without trying to impose, change, encouraging listening, empathy and tolerance. 6. Enhancing the music, dance, theatre and art as privileged languages to create bridges of unity and universality from the existing diversity and publicity... 7. Deep respect and recognition of the planet as a living being to which we belong and are responsible for its present and future: fully integrated in line with nature laws in all its expressions. 8. Becoming a Movement – a stable platform permanently convening actions – walks – becoming support and meeting space diffusion, mixing and creation by symbolizing the spirit of unity and universality toward which mankind is called. 9. By being especially sensitive to those sectors, or individuals who may suffer discrimination based on their physical or mental condition, or for intolerance and fundamentalism reasons.
