1. Ultraviolet Radiation; due to prolonged exposure to
sunlight

Clinical
S&S Leukoplakia, erythroplakia, Swelling, erosion & ulceration
-Ulcer characterized by
1. Slightly raised borders 2. Easily bleeding floor 3. foul odor
4. Fixation to the underlying tissue 5. Painless unless infected 6. doesn’t respond to treatment
-Small elevated papule; ulcerates & heals &
breakdown again
-Crusted ulcer with rolled borders (spreading laterally)
-Untreated lesion enlarge, may erode into cartilage
& bone
-Exophytic Polypoid
-Swelling, pain & non-healed ulcer
Site T (mostly), B.M, L, G, F, P & M.S -Middle third of the face; doesn’t arise from Oral
Mucosa & never seen inside oral cavity unless it arrive
by Direct Invasion & Infiltration from the skin
Oral lesion Lower L, T, AR & G
Upper respiratory & alimentary tract
Age 58y but may occurs in young 4th decade (young adult/children) 57y
