The Ministry of International Cooperation and Development (MICAD) was established on 12 March 2013 following a Cabinet reshuffle endorsed by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President and announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and . With Her Excellency Sheikha Lubna Bint Khalid Al Qasimi as Minister, MICAD’s role is to work with UAE donor organizations to boost the UAE’s position as a major international donor and a key player in development and international cooperation.
