1KEY TOUCH Training - The Future Is Here

1. 1. Maia Intelligence Presents
2. 2. DASHBOARDDashboard provides at-a-glance views of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)relevant to a particular objective or business process (e.g.sales, marketing, human resources, or production). There are five Key elementsto a good dashboard1. Simple, communicates easily2. Minimum distractions…it could cause confusion3. Supports organize business with meaning and useful data4. Applies human visual perception to visual presentation of information5. Comforting to the eye 2
3. 3. * COLUMN2D • Column chart is a chart with rectangular bars of lengths usually proportional to the magnitudes or frequencies of what they represent. • The bars can be horizontally or vertically oriented. Column charts are useful for showing data changes over a period of time or for illustrating comparisons among items. • In column charts, categories are typically organized along the horizontal axis and values along the vertical axis. • To the extreme left we considered COLUMN2D Chart of balance v/s city • City wise balance is organized in the chart 10
4. 4. * DRILL DOWN * WE CONSIDER BALANCE V/S STATE • Chart displays data state wise and accordingly balance is displayed. • State is displayed on horizontal axis and balance is displayed vertically. 11
5. 5. * BALANCE V/S CITY • Chart also provides DRILL DOWN property. • Chart displays drill down of state i.e. CITY v/s BALANCE • STATE undergoes DRILL DOWN i.e. CITY and thus balance is displayed 12
6. 6. * PIE CHART • Pie chart is is a circular chart divided into sectors, illustrating proportion. • In a pie chart, the arc length of each sector is proportional to the quantity it represents. • The pie chart is perhaps the most widely used statistical chart in the business world and the mass media . • Pie charts work particularly well when the slices are represent • Pie chart displays Region wise revenue. 13
7. 7. * STACKCOLUMN2D • Stacked column charts compare the value that each data point contributes to a total across categories. • A stacked column chart shows the changes in a data series over time or compares multiple items. • Types of items are arranged horizontally and data values are plotted vertically to emphasize variation over time. • Chart displays REGIONWISE data • Actual data and budget data is stacked region wise 14
8. 8. * MSCOMBI2D • Combi chart is a visualization that combines the features of the bar chart and the line chart. • The combination chart displays the data using a number of bars and/or lines, each of which represent a particular category. • A combination of bars and lines in the same visualization can be useful when comparing values in different categories, since the combination gives a clear view of which category is higher or lower • Branch wise budget balance and balance is displayed 15
9. 9. * LINE • Line is a type of chart , which displays information as a series of data points connected by straight line segments. • It is a basic type of chart common in many fields. • It is created by connecting a series of points that represent individual measurements with line segments. • A line chart is often used to visualize a trend in data over intervals of time – time series– thus the line is often drawn chronologically. • Branch wise balance is displayed 16
10. 10. * BAR2D • A bar chart or bar graph is a chart with rectangular bars with lengths proportional to the values that they represent. • The bars can be plotted vertically or horizontally. • Bar charts are used for marking clear data which has discrete values • A bar chart is very useful for recording certain information whether it is continuous or not continuous data • State wise balance is displayed in bar chart 17
11. 11. * MSAREA • Multi series area chart displays series as a set of points connected by a line, with an area filled in below the line. • Values are represented by the height of the point as measured by the y-axis • Category labels are displayed on the x-axis. • Area charts are typically used to compare values over time. • City wise data is displayed v/s balance and budget balance 18
12. 12. * . MSCOLUMN2D • Multi series chart is displayed city wise • Balance and budget balance is displayed city wise 19
13. 13. * • An inverse or negative relationship is a mathematical relationship in which one variable say y, decreases as another, say x, increases. • For example, there is an inverse relationship between education and unemployment - that is, as education increases, the rate of unemployment decreases. • Chart displays data month wise for balance and budget balance 20
14. 14. * • SIMILARLY WE CAN CONSIDER FOR LINES • MONTHWISE DATA FOR BALANCE AND BUDGETBLANCE 21
15. 15. * • A Pyramid Chart has the form of a triangle with lines dividing it into sections. • A related topic or idea is placed in each section. • Because of the triangular shape, each section is a different width from the others; this width indicates a level of hierarchy among the topics • The widest section may contain a general topic and the narrowest section may contain a much more specific topic from within that general topic 22
16. 16. *• Funnel charts are a type of CHART , often used to represent stages in a sales process and show the amount of potential revenue for each stage.• This type of chart can also be useful in identifying potential problem areas in an organization’s sales processes• .A funnel chart displays values as Regressively decreasing proportions.• Ideally the funnel chart shows process that starts at 100% and ends with a lower percentage where it is noticeable in what stages the fall out happens and at what rate 23
17. 17. * 24
18. 18. 25
19. 19. • Parameter is a special kind of variable , used in a subroutine to refer to one of the pieces of data provided as input to the subroutine.• NEW TAB is created and data source needs to be selected 26
20. 20. • Query is selected from database or query is created• Custom query is used to create query/ data manually• Connection string is to be provided for the analysis of the query 27
21. 21. 28
22. 22. 29
23. 23. 30
24. 24. • Month is considered as a parameter according to which data is displayed• Sorting of data is a lSO adjusted accordingly• Header can be displayed for further modifications 31

33. 33. * FEATURES* General :-ID : Panel or pattern of designChart type : Type of chart to be displayedTitle: Name given to the chartCondition : Any clause to be used for designingX : Distance from X-AxisY: Distance from Y-axisHeight, width, suffix (post label), prefix(pre label) can be attachedChart background color, theme colours can be designedy axis min value : the min value on the y axis (customization of the values on the y axis)y axis max values : the max value on y axis.Chart background color : the background color of the pod or say report.Scale is to increase or decrease the brightness of the color. 40
34. 34. • In canvas: values inside the chart• Out canvas : values on the y axis• Canvas font size cab be adjusted• Top field and base fields can be recognized• Label display:• 1.Wrap 2. rotate 3. Stagger• Note : stagger will display the values on x axis• Drill on : can be performed on dimensions and measures• Show legend: Description of the fields with colors• Show header: header given to the chart• Show footer: footer given to the chart• Format number scale, number, values can be displayed• Zero values can be displayed.• Round edges can be used instead 41
35. 35. • Legend : Visible in only multi series reports.• Show Header : Headers can be added to the reports.• Show Values : Chart text can be made invisible.• Format number: the number of digits after the decimal point can be modified• Format number scale: it formats the values on y axis.• Rotate values: change the alignment of the chart text values• Place values inside: it places the chart text inside the columns if it’s a column chart.• show zero values: if there is a 0 value for a particular measure then it should be shown in the report. 42
36. 36. • Show round edges: this is to show a slight curve on the edges of the columns.• Show div line values: to show the horizontal lines in the chart area which divide• the values on y axis.• Dimension tab: select the dimension field ie:country ,city, productname etc.• Caption: giving alias name to the column(dimension)• Type : data type• Sort : sorting the data• Sort type : whether ascending descending in case of string type. 43
