Question 1. Does this person’s moral and professional capacity
make this individual capable of serving “we the people”
ethically and well?
J.R. Myers is capable of serving “we the people” ethically and
well considering his past relationship with his community. He
was able to involve himself with the community at an early
stage which enabled him to get elected to Board of Directors of
the Great Falls Native American Association and Health Clinic.
Myers also assisted in the founding of the Great Falls NAACP
(Gilens, & Page, 2014). Comment by Erica R. Johnson: What
office is he running for? Comment by Erica R. Johnson:
Elaborate
Myers considered himself a “Reagan Republican” where he
served as a Republican Precinct Committeeman and on the
Flathead County Republican Central Committee as well as
worked with the Montana Republican Party and serving as chair
for Libertarian and Reform Parties. He went to the University of
Great Falls where he attained his Bachelors’ of Science in
Liberal Arts, M.S in Human Services, and M.S in Professional
Counselling.
He started his political journey in 2003, where he became a
member of the Alaskan Independence Party becoming AIP Vice
Chair. In 2010, he founded and chaired the Alaska Constitution
Party, a formal affiliate of the national Constitution Party. He is
currently working at Lynn Canal Counselling Services in
Haines. He has worked as a professional counsellor for over 15
years. Besides his profession, Myers is a Christian and is
dedicated to serving others and providing hope and healing in
the last frontier (Schmälzle, et al. 2017).
Question 2 Does the person align well with the political party?
J.R. Myers aligns well with his political party. ; tThis has
enabled him to achieve a number of accomplishments, such as
establishing the Life and Liberty Party as a national presence,
gaining support from across the country in every state and
territory, appearing in several interviews and a couple of
debates, as well as appearing on ballot in Arkansas and being
included in the national Presidential electoral vote count totals
being reported across the country.
Question 3. Does the person have a political party
endorsement?
Yes. J.R. Myers has his political party endorsement since with
Life and Liberty pParty he ran for president of the United States
though he lost as a write-in in the general election on
November, 3, 2020.
Question 4. J.R. Myers’ Public Policies
Health Policy
His political party aims at putting an end to premature death by
affirming all innocent lives from conception to natural death.
Comment by Erica R. Johnson: Explain. Vague.
Economic Policy
Life and Liberty Party wants to implement a Universal Debt
Jubilee as the only real antidote to menacing multi-trillion-
dollar national debt tsunami. Comment by Erica R. Johnson:
Explain.
Question 5
Why are these public policies important to this person and the
potential voters?
Each public official or a candidate should be able to understand
the changes that occur in a society’s economy, social, and
political conditions (Terman, & Voeten, 2018).With this, a
society is able to meet its changing needs. From these public
policies among others of the Life and Liberty pParty, both the
candidate and his potential voters are assured of a preservation
of better health, security, legal systems and sustained economic
property.
