Outlook for Week of December 9, 2019

  1. 1. Reversal Levels - Outlook for week of December 9, 2019  Number of S&P 500 stocks in bullish trends (blue line): 370 (74%) versus 371 last week.  Number of S&P 500 stocks in daily bullish mode (red line): 321 (64%) versus 360 last week.  Situation is bullish and the number of stocks in bullish trends is flat. The red line stays below the blue line. This indicates an ongoing pause or pullback. © Reversallevels.com
  2. 2.  ELC: up | BMO: up | Blue snake: up | Repellor: up.  Indicators stay bullish. No signs of a peak yet. BMO is in the +2 peak zone, so I am watching for a possible turn in this indicator. © Reversallevels.com S&P 500 Weekly chart
  3. 3.  Bearish divergence for FTSE 100.  All major markets stay in bullish trends. But several markets see MoM turn down., which indicates they may have peaked for a while.  Bonds TLT are in bullish trend with upward MoM. Need follow through.  Gold stays weak bullish. Could test its RevL in the coming weeks.  EURUSD is fully bearish with downward MoM. The 1.10 level remains an important hold.  Buy signal for Oil.   4. 4.  Sell signal for Mexico IPC.  Bullish divergence for Indonesia JCI.  Bearish divergence for Singapore STI and South Africa JOHA.  Partial profits signal for Taiwan TAIEX. A 15% gain in 42 weeks.  MoM is turning down for a number of markets. That could be just a pause or the start of more significant weakness.  Our current best performer is the Gold stocks index XAU.   5. 5.  Partial profits signal for AAPL. A 36% gain in 24 weeks.  Partial profits signal for JPM. An 18% gain in 13 weeks.  23 stocks bullish, unchanged from 23 last week. Above 20 = bullish. See article: Keeping an eye on the Dow stocks  In major market advances the number of bullish stocks typically goes above 25. That hasn’t happened yet, but we are coming very close.  Our current best performer is Procter & Gamble PG. A 43% gain since its Buy signal 59 weeks ago and the move is ongoing.  It’s very important to let winners run. 80% of our annual profits will typically come from just 20% of our trades.   6. 6.  Speculative Buy signal for EURGBP.  Currencies tend to make long trending moves, so we don’t get weekly Buy or Sell signals so often.  For daytraders or swing traders: if you do your trading in the direction of the weekly trend you are likely to do well in the long run.
