Además los egresados habrán fortalecido las siguientes competencias: Comprender el comportamiento social, intelectual y psicológico del individuo enfocado en el ámbito educativo. Asesorar a docentes en las áreas de lingüística, metodología y técnicas para el desarrollo de programas, material didáctico, investigación de aula y diseño de planes y programas de estudio. Utilizar métodos y técnicas para la investigación en el aula. Diseñar programas de cursos específicos y sus respectivos materiales didácticos. Elaboración de material didáctico mediante la utilización NTIC´s. Transformar el contexto educativo a través de la práctica de valores. Generar escenarios de aprendizaje significativo dando lugar a la investigación participativa, el trabajo en equipo y la toma de decisiones. Manejar las Leyes y Reglamentos de Educación Ecuatoriana. Aplicar técnicas de valoración de los aprendizajes, así como también de su propio desempeño docente.
  4. 4. STATEMENT OF PERSONAL LEARNING GOALS. English language is one of the most spoken widely language around the world. I choose at“Carrera the Idiomas” because I consider the English is very important to know in order tocommunicate with others. Also, I can find more opportunities to find a good job. This carrieroffers me a quality of education in the area of English. On the other hand, when I finish thecarrier I will get a bachelor as an English Teacher. In this semester my goal is to use the technology in the classroom on order to make theclass more interesting. On the other hand, I have to make an effort in order to achieve my aimin this subject. Also, the participation in class is really important because the teacher canprovide me some feedback when I can´t use the tools in a good way. It can help me to improvethe management of a class. Another goal is to coming prepared to class for different activitiesdevelop for the teacher. I will achieve my goals making an effort such as paying attention in class, participation inclass, coming prepared for the classes, bringing all the materials necessaries for the class. Itwill help me to be ready more about technology and the appositive aspect that each tool has.Also, with these goals I can be more interesting to learn the language that for me is reallyimportant to know. However, I will do every day a self-evaluation to see the progress in the subject. Also, I candistribute my time in order to check everything about all the classes. Then, I can start todevelop the activities that the book has and start to practice reading at home. In, technologyis very useful for education because students can be interested in learning the language.

COURSE OVERVIEW INTERNET AND MULTIMEDIA RESOURCESCOMPETENCE TO BE DEVELOPED IN THIS MODULE.Use the Internet and multimedia resources to research and update knowledge for learning andteaching English.LEARNING OUTCOMES:Describe evaluation criteria used to critically analyse the content of Web pages.Identify and bookmark free online journals and Web sites about language skills, grammar,functions, pronunciation and other linguistic and methodological aspects of English languagelearning and teaching.Develop technology enhanced lesson plans using Internet resources to promote authenticlanguage learning and assessment of the EFL learner’s communicative competence.Experiment the use of different Web 2.0 tools to teach and assess the English communicativecompetence using collaborative, problem -and project- based learning approaches.Create effective teaching and assessment materials as well as online virtual environments fortheir EFL classroom.LEVEL TO BE ACHIEVED.This module takes into account the ICT Competency Standards for Teachers developed byUNESCO.
  6. 6. INTERNET AND MULTIMEDIA ELEMENT 1 STUDENT SELF-REFLECTION ON EVIDENCE 1In this element I had to analyze two websites. Itconsisted in choose tow websites in order to identifyif each one of this had reliable information.First, this element helped me a lot because I couldidentify web sites and know if there werecommercials, somebody website, if they hadcopyright, something that could permit us to knowwhere the information comes from.Second, when I was doing this exercise I wanted toachieve my objective that was to know and toidentify reliable information from sites on theinternet.Finally, I would like to know more about this topicbecause this information was very useful for me. Inthe future I can know how to choose a good web sitein order to teach my class. Also, I would like to havea good classroom management using technology inclass.
  7. 7. INTERNET AND MULTIMEDIA ELEMENT 2 STUDENT SELF-REFLECTION ON EVIDENCE 1In this element I had to create a diigo account. It is abookmaker in which people can save web pages. In Diigoaccount we can put tags in order to find easier the web site. First, this element helped me a lot because I couldlearn about this site in which I could save reliableinformation from good web sites. It will be very useful inorder to improve my language. Finally, Diigo is a tool very useful for using ineducation.   8. 8. INTERNET AND MULTIMEDIA ELEMENT 3STUDENT SELF-REFLECTION ON EVIDENCE 1 In this element I had to prepare a class. As a topic of our presentation was about teaching fruits. The level for this class was for children from 9/10 years. Besides, the objective of the class was students will be able to tell the names of fruits and their colors by distinguish them trough flash cards. In conclusion, this presentation was very useful because we had an idea how to teach a class. The importance of preparing a class and the of objective that we applied for the students.
  9. 9. INTERNET AND MULTIMEDIA ELEMENT 4STUDENT SELF-REFLECTION ON EVIDENCE 1 WEB 2.0 This evidence was about web 2.0 tools that was very useful for teaching a class. Also, those tools allow people to interact with each other and share their ideas about any kind of topic. Besides , we have some tools such as facebook, Edmodo, kl12 lesson plans , podomatic, mappy friends, diggo ect. They are really useful in education in order to develop a class. In conclusion, web 2.0 are very useful for education and have any positive aspects. They useful for many things.

INTERNET AND MULTIMEDIA ELEMENT 5 STUDENT SELF-REFLECTION ON EVIDENCE 1This evidence was about to create our virtual learningenvironment with the tools that we studied in the otherselements. I chose EDMODO in order to develop my classI included this evidence because EDMODO platform inwhich I can develop a lot of activities in order to apply in theclass. Also, it is good because it provides teachers andstudents a secure place to connect and collaborate, sharecontent and educational applications, and accesshomework, grades, class discussions and notifications.In conclusion, I would like to use this virtual environment inthe future because it allows students to improve theirlanguage every single day with the activities that I canassign them using this tool. http://www.edmodo.com/home
