  • Interesting work. We have done some work on wine pricing and the association with the type of point-of-purchase (POP). With a database of 65,000 scans which used an active barcode to report the POP, we found that consumers were willing to spend about $1.00 more for a chilled bottle of wine. And in what seems like a direct contrast to that finding, consumers with lower geodemographic profiles were the heaviest users of chilled wine.
