Satellite Radio<br />Became successful due to deployment of in-car receivers<br />Satellite radio changed AM/FM radio<br />Has millions of subscribers<br />Moved a lot of listeners from AM/FM radio to satellite<br />After Howard Stern moved to satellite radio in 2006, many radio stations lost a lot of listeners<br />Ratings went down markedly for stations that formerly broadcasted his show<br />Only exception was Seattle’s KISW<br />
  4. 4. BJ Shea Morning Experience<br />Morning radio show on 99.9 FM<br />Took over for Howard Stern’s slot<br />Have kept ratings the same despite the move to satellite<br />Use a lot of tools to communicate with fans<br />
