I like to refer back to these as often as possible when working on jobs that need a touch of uniqueness. The objective was to create an information piece that seemed as though it was created by ‘MAD’ Scientists and printed on a backyard press. This piece won an AGDA Finalist Award. I created a unique typeface intended to be clean, simple and hip. Combined with the unusual texture of Cromatico, this gave the job the exclusivity and ‘wow’ factor the client was after. The lines also create a pattern which is a representation of one of Fricker’s many ceiling panel designs. The up-side down type also engages the reader to consider the product.
