A woman was killed by one of Uber’s self-driving cars in Arizona. The car was in autonomous mode with a human safety driver at the wheel when it struck the victim crossing the street. Uber has suspended its testing in the U.S. and Canada.
Toys ‘R’ Us
Amazon is considering buying some Toys "R" Us stores to grow its brick-and-mortar presence, reports Bloomberg. The e-tailer won’t keep the toy store brand, which has begun liquidating more than 700 stores after announcing it would shut down operations.
The Weinstein Company has filed for bankruptcy, reaching a deal to sell its assets to private equity firm Lantern Capital Partners. The studio has struggled to find a buyer following sexual harassment claims against co-founder Harvey Weinstein.
