BITCOIN $12,000
Bitcoin hit $12,198.57 Wednesday morning, according to CoinDesk. The news comes a week before before bitcoin gets its first futures exchange on the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE).
The International Olympic Committee suspended the Russian Olympic Committee after an investigation into doping at the 2014 Winter Olympics. Russia has been banned from the 2018 Games, although athletes with special dispensation can compete wearing neutral uniforms.
Mashable was sold for less than $50M to Ziff Davis — despite being valued at $250M last year. Founder Pete Cashmore will stay on, Recode reports, but the publication is laying off 50 employees.
