Amtrak
At least three were killed and about 100 injured when an Amtrak train derailed on a highway overpass in Washington state. National Transportation Safety Board officials said the train was traveling 80 mph in a 30-mph zone; it’s still unclear why it was moving at such a high speed.
Tax Plan
The House of Representatives is expected to vote on a final tax bill Tuesday afternoon, Reuters reports. If it passes, the joint legislation would then go to the Senate, where Republicans say they’ve secured enough votes for the $1.5 trillion tax overhaul.

Longtime ESPN President John Skipper abruptly resigned to seek treatment for “a substance addiction,” according to a statement. Former chief George Bodenheimer will serve as acting chairman while the sports network searches for Skipper’s replacement.
