This document summarizes an event called Mums Enterprise, which aims to help ambitious mothers retrain, find flexible work, start or grow businesses. It will hold roadshow events with speakers, panels, and exhibitors providing support, advice and opportunities. The first two events will be in June 2016 near London. Research including a survey found most mothers are interested in attending for career and business advice and to network. It is supported by groups like Talented Ladies Club and Virgin StartUp who see a demand for this kind of local, in-person event and support for mothers.

face-to-face with support, advice, services and opportunity
from national & regional organisations.

LINDSEY Fish LUCY CHAPLIN

With a well established and successful
background in Event Management and
Marketing Lindsey has a proven track
record for delivering excellent events.
Her passion for Mums Enterprise stems
from the experience she had after the birth
of her first child, Molly, age 1.
Lucy hails from a background of graphic
design and advertising. An all-round
creative with a love of design, illustration,
writing and fine art, she delights in being
involved with something as bold and
refreshing as Mums Enterprise.
With her first baby due November 2015 she
is looking forward to the chance to meet and
help other Mums with their careers.

AUDIENCE
The events are aimed at women who:
• Live in ABC1 households
• Are aged 25 – 45
They May
• Have had a successful career
• Wish to completely retrain
• Currently be a stay at home mum
• Not wish to return to the same employer
• Have money to invest in themselves
• Have seen an opportunity/gap in the market
• Have a lifelong dream
• Already run a business but want to expand

5. EVENT
format
Roadshow: The aim is to take the roadshow to various locations
throughout the UK making them local events. Each roadshow
would seek to attract 200 - 250 ambitious mums.
Format:
• 20 - 30 table top exhibitors
• Relaxed seating area for ‘meetings and conversations’
• Main speaker
• Panel Q&A sessions
• Hands on workshop sessions
