Recap press preview 130619_eng

  1. 1. Levi’s® Vintage Clothing / Levi’s® Made & Crafted™ Press Preview @LVC JP Showroom From Wednesday June 19th to 21st, we invited over 130 people at FW13 Levi’s Vintage Clothing / Levi’s Made & Crafted collection press preview at LVC JP show room. We arranged catering of rice balls, hoji-tea (roasted green tea), and Japanese sweets by HIGASHIYA. People who came to this event said it’s easy to understand the difference of the concepts between Levi’s Vintage Clothing and Levi’s Made & Crafted because these two show rooms were separated first and second floor. On the first floor, guests enjoyed with two themes (Orange tab and Boom town) as if they had come to an exhibition of movie costume. Some people expressed the detail of the layout started singing 60’s music like they were into that kind of movie. Go up to the second floor, Levi’s Made & Crafted section. When they opened the door, a really nice smell of rice ball and roasted green tea wrapped them up. The beautiful color and pattern of clothing (ex; 22150 Beanie reversible and 22174 Poncho which was

For FW13 both LVC and LMC look book – Everyone said “it’s elaborated”. Many people wanted to have the moment we showed it. For fit guide book – It’s really helpful to explain the detail of silhouette All in all it was a great press preview: the collection was very well received because we talked to each person with respect the story of LVC and LMC. And also, we could make it to increase acknowledgement of each brand’s concept to people who still do not know the difference as well. For this time, we enhanced the number of women’s media invitations. Therefore, there were a lot of women’s guests visited. It is always full of laughter during this event in a casual atmosphere. [Comment from women’s media] “Though I had an image that Levi’s equal denim brand, but after I visited this event, I knew it was already reborn as a total producing brand. Especially I love 17034 Off Road Leather Jkt. (“FUDGE” Hiroshi Komatsu) “I love 16026 Shuffle Shift Dress and 16012 1 Pket Shirt. These items would match adult women because of not too casual design.” (“SPUR” Editor-in-chief Yumiko Fukui) “I know well about Levi’s Vintage Clothing and Levi’s Mad & Crafted because I came to previous editor’s event. I believe both line would become popular not only for 20’s-30’s but also 40’s-50’s women.” (Fashion Journalist Eiko Nishiyama)
  3. 3. [Comment from Men’s media] “I could understand the difference of Levi’s Vintage Clothing and Levi’s Made & Crafted and each brand’s world view through this event. I was very happy to see those obsession and adherence of Levi’s craftsmanship.” (“BRUTUS” Associate Editor Takashi Ayukawa) “We are very interested in Levi’s Made & Crafted that is faithfully capturing the spirit and heritage of bygone era’s details, but also the design catches now a day’s view. We are looking forward to seeing this brand future that will bear Levi’s.” (“POPEYE” Editor-in-chief Takahiro Kinoshita and associate editor Masashi Tsujimura) “We were interested in orange tab which symbolizes 60’s-70’s trend of the times such as 30607 1970s 607 Bootcut Jean and 66610 1960s Chambray Shirt.” (“MEN’S EX” deputy manager Hiromitsu Kosone and editor Yo Kanamori) “I was deeply impressed the layout of show room, and I want to express these brand’s world view through my work.” He was very happy that we presented 47501 1947 501 Jeans.
